So, after a long hiatus (*cough cough depression*), I have returned to the realm of blogging and crocheting! Six-ish months without hooking -- and by hooking, I do mean crocheting, get your mind outta the gutter :D -- and it feels so very good to be crocheting again.
I have a few projects that are nearing completion. There's the purse that I finished shortly before my hiatus, which still needs a lining and a zipper pocket. It's made from the super soft (yet slightly challenging) Homespun from Lion Brand. I just cut the lining tonight, so that should be hitting the sewing machine tomorrow.
I started a "mini me" version of that purse, which is a purple tweed handbag with black bamboo handles. I love it. It's gonna be gorgeous, with a black cotton lining, and a purple magnetic closure within the liner that matches the tweed yarn itself. *.*
I also made a Joann's run today. I haven't been spending money on myself lately, but today I SO did. I got a bunch of nifty purse handles, some really gorgeous yarn that I cannot wait to work with, some drawing pens, and possibly my most adventurous purchase: watercolors.
Pictures tomorrow! :) And in closing:
