It's strange to admit, but for a while there, I lost my crojo. [Crojo: noun - the mojo for crochet] I actually considered deleting this blog a few times. But every time I thought of doing so, I remembered all the time that went into creating / drafting / editing my patterns. And so, it survived.
I've recently been working on an afghan I started a year ago -- I'm at the final and really boring part that's just 153 double crochets per row. 25 dc, stitch marker, count, 25 dc, stitch marker, count, wash, rinse, repeat, all for the grand end result of an inch or two of height, per completed row. I'm making painfully slow progress, especially considering the fact that I'm using Lion Brand's Homespun yarn. It's super soft yarn, and I'm not sure how it'd be for knitting, but for crochet? Snag city. Still, it'll be a lovely afghan when it's complete.
I don't know how a mind-numbing amount of double crocheting got my crojo back, but go figure. Maybe I just needed time away.
I have some plans lined up for this blog, including a "new" pattern that I probably promised to deliver several months ago, some video tutorials for my existing patterns, hopefully a new pattern here and there, and more.
So yeah. I'm back. :)
